Education
Universal education must be relevant to the true needs of a community and contribute to the unification of mankind. It must enable people both to move in the direction of their own choosing and help them appreciate those universal qualities that distinguish the entire human race. A well-educated community member is a determined yet humble participant, who helps overcome conflict and division thereby contributing to a spirit of unity and collaboration.

Education is the common thread throughout the majority of all Binda grants. As a result of strategic planning, the foundation's most recent education focus has been in the area of dyslexia. Extensive research of the programs available in Michigan was conducted in 2006. In the fall of 2007, the first tutors were trained and assigned to students within the Calhoun Intermediate School District.

2009 Education Grants
Western Michigan University: Seita Scholarship Program designed to provide college access to young people who have aged out of foster care. Support for an additional campus coach to meet the needs of the students.

High School Scholarships: Students graduating from schools that Guido designed are awarded a four year scholarship based on outstanding moral character and academic achievement.

Miller College: Support of a new concept in higher education, a 'senior college' in our community, providing junior and senior level courses which lead to a bachelor's degree.

University of Michigan: Endowed lecture and exhibit at the Taubman School of Architecture, scholarships and travel funds for architecture students.

Calhoun Intermediate School District: Mini-Grant Program: Our longest running program, the Mini-Grant program provides K-12 teachers, administrators, and support personnel in three intermediate districts opportunities to support creative instructional experiences that enhance student achievement.
